Purpose/objectives of the PPWR:

• Establishment of a circular economy.
• Minimisation of packaging material to reduce waste.
• Increase in recyclability to optimise material and raw material flows.
• The use of harmful chemicals in raw materials and auxiliary materials should be reduced and, where possible, avoided.
• This is intended to contribute to climate neutrality.

What are the requirements?

Today’s and tomorrow’s packaging requirements:

• The packaging complies with the PPWR
• The packaging is correctly labelled
• Technical documentation for the packaging is available
• Compliance for all materials and substances contained in the packaging is available
• All packaging must be reported in the national registers

Who is responsible?

The distributor or our customer is responsible for the following points and compliance with the PPWR:

• Registration of the packaging
• Preparation of technical documentation
• The packaging is PPWR-compliant and correctly labelled

The necessary documents are provided by the packaging manufacturer respectively by us.
