SWISS PACKAGING AWARD 2019
Der Swiss Packaging Award feiert in diesem Jahr sein 50-Jahr-Jubiläum. Laut Jury wurden für den diesjährigen Award 61 sehr innovative, kreative und qualitativ hochwertige Verpackungslösungen von 36 verschiedenen Teilnehmern eingereicht. Daher freut es uns umso mehr, dass die SCHELLING AG in fünf Kategorien für den namhaften Preis nominiert ist.
- Die Verpackung «HOBAKO Faltschachtel für Schokoladenspäne» ist in der Kategorie Nachhaltigkeit sowie in der Kategorie Technik nominiert.
- Die «Bierverpackung ARCWISE» ist in der Kategorie Marketing nominiert.
- Der «Thekensteller 7 Dosen» ist in der Kategorie Konstruktion nominiert.
- Beim Nachwuchspreis ist die Wettbewerbseingabe unserer Lehrlinge «Generation X: Schuhschachtel» ebenfalls im Rennen um die Auszeichnung.

SCHELLING AG POWERED BY 100% GREEN ELECTRICITY
Sustainability, eco-friendliness and CO2 neutrality are pivotal issues in today’s society. As a progressive printing and packaging company, we are aware of our responsibility and act accordingly. Part of our digital strategy 2020 is the “Sustainable Digital” strategic initiative in which we set ourselves goals that include getting our mobility in tune with the future. Here we focus not only on gradually converting our vehicle fleet to electro-mobility, but also on using sustainable energy. Since 1 January 2019, all SCHELLING AG locations have therefore been using 100% green electricity from sustainable hydropower.
We have already taken an initial step towards e-mobility by installing vehicle charging stations, with all Swiss locations offering two. They can be used free of charge by our customers and business partners.

WORLDSTAR 2019 FOR TORINO LA PIAZZA
Winning the 2018 Swiss Packaging Award allowed the Torina LA PIAZZA packaging to be entered into the running for the renowned WorldStar Packaging Award. The packaging, produced by SCHELLING AG, impressed the judging panel of the international competition for the best packaging in the world and was awarded the coveted 2019 WorldStar Packaging Award.
The 100% Swiss-made cylindrical packaging is a masterpiece in terms of ecology and efficiency. Thanks to the flat-pack delivery of the packaging components, logistics and storage costs were reduced by 90%. All materials used are 100% recyclable. The icing on the cake is the lid, featuring a pull tab and perforated box system that makes it easy to open and close.

GOLD AT THE DISPLAY SUPERSTAR AWARD 2019
The winners of the Display Superstar Award were also chosen at this year’s VISCOM in Düsseldorf. Not one, but two of our entries won one of the coveted awards. The Coop “Bake it Trophy” display floored the judges and was presented with a Gold Award.
The self-presenting display was developed as part of a major loyalty scheme with many advertising measures and was used in Swiss Coop stores. Presented to look like a kitchen, the display attracts the interest of shoppers while also providing an ideal overview of the complete range of products on offer. It is the perfect way for consumers to discover the kitchenware through touch and feel.

BRONZE AT THE DISPLAY SUPERSTAR AWARD 2019
The winners of the Display Superstar Award were also chosen at this year’s VISCOM in Düsseldorf. Not one, but two of our entries won one of the coveted awards. Lorenz-Bahlsen’s large-scale World Cup placement was awarded bronze.
One of last year’s most influential sports events, the football World Cup in Russia also had a strong presence at the POS. SCHELLING AG developed a large-scale advertising placement for Lorenz-Bahlsen, which brought the stadium atmosphere into shops with a special look and bright spotlights with the appearance of floodlights. Thanks to the expandable design with drawer system, the display is very versatile. The placement can be designed with four, six or eight quarter pallets. This allows the display to attract attention from afar in various market environments with different spatial requirements.
